Position Description: Department: Mechanical System Design Group - Fire Protection System Team Basic scope of work is to provide assurance of successful showing of compliance with relevant regulatory requirements in the Type Certification Application and Approval processes with the regard to fire protection A succesful candidate may also be requested to travel to supplier sites (Mainly to North Carolina) in order to liaise with them by helping complete mutual open tasks and witness qualification tests when Qualification Tests are conducted. Unique Skills: - Experience on the design of fire protection system. - Main task is to establish certification documents regarding fire protection system to show compliance to FAR/CS part 25 requirements including providing presentation materials for authority discussion and presentation to authority. - Support avionics rig test and aircraft GND/Flight test as system engineer of fire protection system is 2nd main task. - Communicate with system supplier is third main task. May travel to US to visit supplier. - Communicate with Seattle office to establish certification documents is 4th main task. - Support aircraft GND/Flight test at Nagoya and US is 5th main task. - Support the team leader. - Educate younger engineers.

Requirements: • 10+ years engineering experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering • Certification and/or Flight Test experience • Leadership experience preferred • Project Management experience preferred • Must be willing to stay in Japan a minimum of 2-5 years or until project is complete • Proven ability to work to challenging deadlines (New Product Introduction) is desirable
