Position Description:
** Candidates should have current experience with Electro-Deposition Plating **
** Local candidates preferred. If candidates pass a phone interview an in-person interview will be required. Must be able to attend an in-person interview at their own expense **
Duties:
-Applies engineering and quality procedures to support hardware requirements to assure that delivered products and/or services conform to contractual and Company requirements.
-Support the electro-deposition of development hardware to support critical program schedules.
-Select and position electrodes /annodes, part and assemblies in process tanks to apply plating on metallic components.
-Be able to hand prep (sand) and mask hardware to ensure plating process meets specification and drawing requirements.
-Plan proper grouping and positioning of material to assure treatment to specifications.
-Maintain plating bath composition, temperature, and concentration.
-Have a basic electrical knowledge of electrical circuitry – anodic/cathode – positive/negative.
-Ability to calculate surface areas and determine current density for hardware.
-Knowledge in electroforming - ability to design and fabricate plating cells, shielding, and anode placement.
-Have experience working with hazardous chemicals and acids.
-General tool knowledge of power tools and hand grinders.
Requirements:
**Candidates must be U.S. Citizens. Dual Citizens or candidates with a current non-U.S. passport in addition to a U.S. passport are not eligible.**
Skills:
-Over 5 years of experience in plating metallic parts & assemblies.
-Over 2 years of experience designing & building Electro-deposition (plating) fixtures.
-Over 2 years of experience using modelling software to manipulate hardware and tooling models
-Over 3 years of experience writing process planning for plating operations.
-Recent experience with Electro-Deposition plating.
-Over 5 years of experience in plating metallic parts & assemblies.
-Experience working with hazardous chemicals, including acids.
-A proven safety record & experience with PPE used in plating.
-Basic electrical knowledge: electrical circuitry, positive/negative, anode/cathode placement, AC/DC power supplies, rectifiers.
-Experience preparing hardware surfaces for plating and fabrication/installation of tooling & shields to ensure parts meeting plating requirements.
-Over 10 years of experience in plating metallic parts is desired (not required).
Education:
-High School Diploma or equivalent required.
-BS in Chemistry or Materials desired.
