Position Description: ** Candidates must be U.S. Citizens - Permanent residents are NOT eligible for this role ** ** Dual citizens are NOT eligible for this role. Also, candidates with a current non-U.S. passport in addition to a U.S. passport are NOT acceptable ** -Without appreciable direction, the Cutting Tool Engineering Specialist applies expertise to directly contribute to the development of new concepts and techniques. -This position exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Typical responsibilities include: -May plan, conduct, and technically direct cutting tool engineering projects or major phases of significant tooling assignments, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects -Performs advanced technical research on design development of new manufacturing/ cutting tool projects and advises management on manufacturing policies and plans -Creates, determines, and establishes new manufacturing techniques, machines, material and processes necessary for the solution of complex long-range cutting tool or fabrication problems -Analyzes tool production capability, projection of tool shop loads, estimating costs and providing input for special tooling to proposals -Provides technical guidance to the critical review committee process -Acts as technical and/or functional consultant to manufacturing and cutting tool research and to special equipment problems -Provides technical direction to less senior cutting tool engineers and designers

Requirements: Skills: -Siemens NX experience strongly preferred. -Microsoft Office experience required. -Cutter grind experience -Cutting tool design -Application of the spectrum of cutting tools required to machine high temperature alloys Education: -A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and nine (9) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. -Advanced degree in an appropriate discipline desired.
