Position Description:
**Secret Clearance Required to Start**
Company Defense Systems in St. Louis, Missouri is looking for an experienced engineer to join its Military Aircraft team to support the design of state of the art products. The selected candidate will be tasked to perform critical system safety work on one of our major programs. The work will consist of performing detailed system safety tasks such as system and subsystem hazard analysis, fault tree analysis, sneak circuit analysis, and software safety analysis. The selected candidate should also be familiar with the nuclear certification process. The selected candidate will also assist with the evaluation of customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, as well integrating technical parameters to assure compatibility of physical, functional, and program interfaces. The selected candidate may also assist with analyses for affordability, reliability & maintainability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other quality factors that drive a preferred configuration that ensures mission success. These tasks are accomplished within a collaborative environment with other program teams to assist with and/or plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system solution. Military experience, while not required is desirable. Experience in performing environmental engineering, as well as software safety is desired.

Requirements:
Safety
Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
