Position Description:
The Space Launch System Production Engineering team is seeking Engineering Technical Support Technicians to gather, analyze and report production system performance data. Individuals filling these positions shall compile, analyze, develop and formats data from multiple sources by utilizing engineering standards, processes and computational tools to provide documentation that assists customers in the development of production system products, services and processes. Performs complex analysis of products to verify regulatory conformance and contractual compliance. Manages data collected from Manufacturing, Assembly & Operations teams to support the organization's business plan. Maintains and improves products (e.g., production engineering data, spreadsheets, websites, and documentation), processes and services to ensure consistent quality of data used to accomplish engineering tasks. Prepares and presents materials for review and decision making by leaders of various levels including executive level audiences. Maintains production engineering related user documentation to support production systems. Maintains web pages/libraries to provide organizational visibility and communication to internal and external customer. Develops and maintains production engineering related user documentation to support the design of production systems. Trains others. Works under minimal guidance.

Requirements:
AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Engr Knowledge & Comprehension
Complete knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems. The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.
Information Technology Fluency
Complete ability in the use of personal computing hardware and software to enter project information, such as, statements of work, resource identification and usage, task status, cost estimating and tracking, etc. Complete knowledge of processes and tools to maintain, archive, and retrieve digital files. Complete ability in constructing/building and providing reports and presentation material as needed for assigned projects. Complete knowledge of identifying and gaining approval of testing of established applications to meet project requirements.
Process Measurement
Extensive and specialized ability to identify and create qualitative or quantitative measures of success and failure. Extensive and specialized ability to select the key parameters and develop standards to monitor progress, provide updates of performance, and plot trends over time.
Research Methods
Complete knowledge of research tools (e.g., search engines, library databases), methods (e.g., search parameters), and appropriate resources (e.g., external experts) to gather needed data.
