Position Description: Develops multiple publication elements for all levels of maintenance for a fielded equipment minor system or multiple sub systems. Collects, researches and analyzes source data and validates source data based on predefined and developed assumptions. Estimates the impact of the proposal or changes to the publication elements. The F/A-18 Technical Publications Team seeks a Technical Data Designer with relevant F/A-18 structures experience. The successful candidate will be required to research, develop, produce, and sustain F/A-18 Technical Publications products. Data formats could include both paper and electronic forms of media used during product operation and maintenance (e.g., operational information and checklists, maintenance information, structures blueprints, field modification instructions, configuration specifications, etc.)

Requirements: Technical writing. Familiar with Mil-Std guidance and logic. Experience with F/A-18 Structures. Experience with aircraft technical manuals and/or Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMS). Ability to read and interpret blueprints for aircraft structure for maintenance design and illustration. Candidate must be highly organized and detail oriented. Aircraft and support systems background highly desired.
