Position Description: **Must be able to obtain a Clearance** Develops, maintains and releases electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying company, industry and governmental standards. Using design tools prepares documentation and incorporates design changes. Creates, develops and maintains systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and assisting in identifying design discrepancies. Supports engineering system design and functionality validation activities. Develops and maintains product installation designs and part designs ranging from simple to moderately complex. Coordinates activities and products with internal partners and external suppliers. Works under general direction.

Requirements: The successful candidate will be responsible for electronic/electrical component packaging, fixture/test station design. This will include the electronic/electrical/mechanical design process from detailed parts to complex mechanical assemblies, by selecting components, preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and resolving complex design discrepancies to satisfy both customers and producibility requirements. This person will work closely with electrical engineering groups throughout all design phases and the fabrication teams during the build process. o 10 + years of experience in mechanical design, including mechanisms, structures and/or electronic packaging. o Experience creating drawings using Computer Aided Draft systems, specifically Unigraphics NX8 o Working knowledge of 3-D solid modeling (CAD/CAM) o The Person selected shall meet the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) requirements to work on government contracts AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
