Position Description: Supports the computer-aided design (CAD) development and documentation of mechanical, hydraulic , propulsion and flight controls Maintenance Ground Operations Systems (MGOS) ground support equipment (GSE) tooling design. Supports the development, testing and/or modification of GSE systems, components and installation designs/drawings to provide design documentation to downstream groups. Profficient with Geometric Tolerancing and Drawing Release (PDM / ENOVIA).Generates GSE CAD 3-D models (in CATIA V5) and documents analyses to validate and verify GSE and components meet requirements and specifications. Produces First Pass Quality (FPQ) GSE designs and drawings per MGOS standards, processes and Desk Instructions. Contributes to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals. Supports system components'' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation. Trains others. Works under general direction.

Requirements: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
