Position Description: The primary responsibilities of the job roles include the following: The Tooling Structural Analysis Team is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to perform / review static and seismic analysis on factory tooling. The primary responsibilities of the job role include the following: Perform / review classical structural calculations according to standard industry codes to determine the structural integrity of factory tooling. Standard industry codes include: • ASCE 7-10 • ASME BTH-1 • IBC • AISC 360 • Aluminum Design Manual Develop /review finite element models (FEM) of factory tooling to evaluate the structural capability of complex structures. Common software used includes: • STADD Pro. V8i • RISA • Nastran/Patran • Hypermesh • Catia V5 Create strength check notes to document analysis performed as required. Provide feedback on supplier-created strength check notes according to company and regulatory requirements. Experience working with aerospace tooling stress analysis/structural analysis is preferred. Strong analytic, organization, written and personal communication skills required.

Requirements: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
