Position Description: A mass properties engineer is needed to generate aircraft weight and balance reports performing the following duties: Develops complex weight, balance and mass properties data. Determines approaches to developing data and analyzes and compares results. Defines complex weight, balance and mass properties related design requirements. Participates in developing customer specification commitments. Provides complex vehicle or system configuration guidance. Leads individual design team weight control efforts. Estimates, calculates and measures and verifies mass, weight, stiffness and inertias of components, assemblies and completed vehicles or systems. Develops and maintains weight, balance and mass properties accounting systems and generates weight and balance reports. Creates, develops and implements new processes and tools to facilitate improved design and analysis capabilities. Works under general direction.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
