Position Description: Develops, integrates and documents structural and system requirements to establish the system design. Develops, maintains and modifies structural, system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools (CATIA V5/Enovia/CMPRO) and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. Performs, integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Develops detail and modification design concepts / final design and meeting contractual / producibility requirements for end item deliverables Structural modifications, mechanical components and primary and secondary structural detail / installation design for EMD and Production purposes Integrates detail design of parts / hardware installation and support to planning / manufacturing efforts and associated tools. Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals. Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. Works under general direction.

Requirements: Must have Experience creating structural / mechanical designs using Catia & Enovia and CMPRO. Model-Based-Definition design experience is a Plus. Experience do you have using Durability and Damage Tolerance (D&DT) Tools a plus Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
