Position Description: Develops requirement management processes and tools. Investigates actions necessary for requirements definition and flow-down improvement. Performs and documents design of Guidance, Navigation, and Control systems models and tools and guides less experienced engineers in performance of the designs. Develops certification criteria and methods with regulatory agencies. Leads, organizes and resolves cross-divisional problems to provide technical assistance to internal/external customers. Assures cost, time effective, creative solutions and disposition of issues to assure customer satisfaction. Performs a wide variety of complex trades studies to meet program requirements. Works under consultative direction.

Requirements: Required experience: • Modeling & simulation of system motion, including design of algorithms used to plan, estimate, and/or control system motion • Ability to quickly learn new processes, tools, and languages • Comfortable with MATLAB (and ideally Simulink) • Disciplined and detail-oriented; would carefully follow processes and save evidence required for system certification Desired: • Experience developing mathematical motion planning (guidance) algorithms for flight systems • Comfortable working with branches within version control systems such as Git, Subversion, or ClearCase, to coordinate parallel work amongst a large development team
