Position Description

Position Purpose:
Performs engineering work related to the investigation and the solution of technical problems associated with research, design, development, service and manufacture of Company aircraft.

Additional Functions:
1. Actively works to improve daily processes, and ensures all work meets customer requirements Maintains a current and up-to-date knowledge of developments and application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in assigned field of expertise
2. Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:
1. Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
2. Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
3. Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
4. Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
5. Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.
6. Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.

Requirements

Unique Skills:
A position with Company Advanced Cabin Programs team that develops the Cabin Management System and Moving Map products. Become part of a dynamic group of software engineers that are developing the touchscreen software systems used by the global leader in aviation.

Bachelor's Degree Engineering or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. 18 months of related Engineering experience. Experience credit will be considered for related advance degrees limited to 2 years for the Master's and 4 years for PhD in field applicable to the job position.

Other Requirements:
1. Bachelor Science in Computer Science, Engineering or other related field required
2. ISTQB Foundational Testing Certification or equivalent (2+ years testing experience) required
3. Azure DevOps, Jira or similar project management software (2+ years experience) required
4. Selenium Framework or equivalent experience writing automated test cases preferred
5. Strong analytical skills
6. Solid communication skills
7. Flexible with time in a rapidly changing environment
8. Manufacturing background preferred
9. Basic electrical background is a plus
10. Familiar with iOS & Android devices
