Position Description:
Senior System Safety Engineer who will consult or lead different system safety analyses. This position will work collaboratively across functional teams to gather requirements, perform and conduct analysis, support peer reviews and/or oversight reviews.
Tasks will include:
Reviewing system-level Functional Hazard Assessment and System Safety Assessment documents
Developing, validating, and verifying airplane-level safety requirements, including coordination with allocated systems
Executing airplane level threat analyses (bird strike, rotor burst, cargo fire, tire and wheel failures, etc.) and airplane-level common mode analysis
Engagement with regulators
Providing System Safety Process Guidance and Training to BCA programs (737-10, 777-9, etc)

Requirements:
Position Requires systems and/or airplane-level design experience. The candidate should be knowledgeable on processes and artifacts related to ARP 4761, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience leading cross-functional teams.

Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 14 or more years' experience, Master's degreee with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
