Position Description

**This role will initially start on 1st shift for training purposes, then transition to 2nd shift support.**

Company Defense, Space & Security's (BDS) is seeking a Mid- Level Manufacturing Planner to join the Production Engineering Team in Mesa, AZ.

Our Production Engineering team provides support throughout the Mesa site including: the AH-64 Apache Final Assembly and Production Flight Test areas, and Manufacturing, Electrical, and Composite Centers of Excellence (CoE), and Depot, Repair, and Overhaul (DRO).

Candidates will:
Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions. Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Understands and develops detailed work instructions from detailed engineering requirements
2. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings (e.g., 2D and 3D) and specifications
3. Knowledge of electrical schematics, structural test plans, assembly integration, and fabrication level planning

Requirements

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
1. Previous experience working with manufacturing planning system such as MESci
2. Previous manufacturing and/or assembly experience in aircraft structures, assembly integration, wire harness fabrication and testing
3. Prior knowledge of military and/or commercial aircraft systems (e.g., AH64 Apache, F15 Eagle, F18 Hornet, 747, etc.,)
4. Software skills required: Microsoft Office, UG, Catia, MESCi
