Customer Support Engineer

Position Description:

The professional will work in the Service Engineering Group. The main scope of work (SoW) is to identify the technical requirement and the development of technical publications source data for aircraft manuals including the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) and the System Schematic Manual (SSM)/AIPC/SSM/WDM/etc. for the MRJ based on engineering data and technical information.

This role will require researching and collecting the necessary engineering information from various technical/certification documents and drawing systems to draft the maintenance documents.

If requested, the specialist will also perform other duties related to validation of the SSM / AMM and other maintenance manuals on the airplane.

The primary work location will be in Nagoya, Japan.
Requirements:


Development of the SSM Source Information:
- The SSM will describe and summarize the function of systems and sub-systems, and depicted the major signal flows within the system.
- The CSE will select and draft the necessary technical information for an aircraft maintenance technician at airline customer to understand the aircraft system operation and perform the necessary maintenance procedure.
- This activity includes but not limited to, summarizing and depicting the information below by ATA system:
- Within system equipment, major signal processing is packaged by unit and arrange in correct order.?Content of processing should be described in simple and easily-understood way.
- Major function/role of each system and sub-system equipment
- Major output signals from each system
- Major input signals for each system
- Path from input signal thru system equipment to output signal
- Logic/criteria for detecting failure in each system
- Conditions to detect failure by simple Boolean expression
- Simple signal route of detecting failure to flight deck
- Simple signal route of detecting failure to Central Maintenance System (CMS)
- Fault messages detected in CMS
- Indication in flight deck to show failure detected in EICAS.

Development of the AMM Source Information.
- The AMM will provide procedures for operation and system tests in the correct technical order with consideration for safety condition and other pre-conditions. Test criteria will be defined to judge the test result.
- The CSE will select and draft the necessary technical information for an aircraft maintenance technician at airline customer to perform operation and system testing using the procedure described.
- This activity includes but not limited to, summarizing and depicting the information below by ATA system:
- Tool and supplies selection
- System conditions required for safety
- System conditions required for test
- Airplane conditions required for test
- Arranging check items and test articles in the correct test order
- Determine the pass/fail criteria (go/no go) for the test.

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical related field (aeronautical, mechanical, electronic, etc.), and 2+ years of airline working experience as maintenance support engineer.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical related field aeronautical, mechanical, electronic, etc.), and 2+ years of aircraft manufacturer working experience as a design/sustaining or modification engineer.
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (AME, XXX, XXX, etc.), and 10+ years of aircraft manufacturer or airline working experience as maintenance support engineer.
- Read, understand, and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams.
