Position Description: • Support sustaining engineering efforts, in conjunction with Quality and Production groups, by the timely disposition of non-conforming material and resolve producibility issues with internal and external manufacturing partners • Address field complaints by determining root cause and implement corrective actions under guidance of senior staff. • Fabricate prototypes with assistance from production groups • Work with internal and external manufacturing partners to ensure manufacturable designs (DFM/DFA) • Document design changes by creating and or modifying solid models, assemblies and drawings with Pro/Engineer • Develop internal design validation test programs, perform testing as needed and document results • Assist in updating DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plans for process/design changes on existing product lines

Requirements: Qualifications: • BS in Mechanical Engineering with 2-5+ years of experience • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving capability • 3D modeling and 2D detailing (CAD) experience (Pro/Engineer (Creo) and AutoCAD preferred). • Expertise in FEA and analytical software such as Ansys, Pro/Mechanica and Minitab desired • Knowledge of lean, design for six sigma, kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives desired. • Experience with UL standards and test requirements that pertain to electrical devices would be an asset. • Exposure to applicable manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, machine etc. desired.
