Position Description:
**A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.**
Position Purpose:
Provide solutions to ensure high performance data protection, universal availability and the simplified management of complex databases and storage networks. Develops, implements and maintains data storage plans to ensure continuation of critical operations in the event of a disaster or interruption.
Essential Functions:
1. Analyze the needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems and developing technical, structural and organizational data storage specifications.
2. Lead in the design, configuration, operation and troubleshooting of organization storage infrastructure.
3. Ensure the gathering of information regarding needs and requirements for existing and proposed systems and technical, structural and organizational data storage specifications.
4. Research information to support the analysis of storage, recovery, and backup technologies and systems.
5. Provide installation and upkeep services for data storage hardware and storage area networks.

Requirements:
Unique Skills:
Skills in EMC Storage and Tivoli Storage Manager
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or technology related field highly preferred. Minimum seven (7) years hands-on storage administration experience
Other Requirements:
1. A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.
2. SCSE certifications are preferred
3. Technical knowledge required: SAN, Fibre channel, LUN, Ethernet/IP, storage virtualization, backup and recovery, system and database storage functions
4. Significant knowledge of script development and maintenance in: Perl, PHP, JavaScript
5. Deep technical expertise including installing, integrating, implementing, and supporting a multiple storage systems including EMC, IBM technologies and SAN Fabric
6. Configuration experience of storage components, including but not limited to NetApp, IBM, VNXe, VNX, VMAX 10K/20K/40K, Powerpath, MDS and Brocade, SAN arrays, Cisco SAN Switches, IBM Storage Tools, IBM Storage systems, Netapp FAS2xxxx, 8xxxx, Back Up tools like TSM, Avamar etc.
7. Background in Storage concepts: SCSI, NAS, SAS, Drive technologies
8. Knowledge and experience in storage, SAN, back-up and recovery, archive and encryption
9. Technical expertise with data protection technology
10. Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, planning, and decision making skills
11. Good understanding of corporate IT policies, procedures and standards
12. Solid understanding of system lifecycle methodologies, hardware architecture and standards
13. Experience working in teams
14. Proficiency with MS Office
